ETAP Power System Analysis Tool Enhancement

EnergyTron collaborated with ETAP (USA & India) to bench-test and enhance power system analysis tools for large-scale networks. EnergyTron conducted extensive field tests on a network serving 3 million customers, identifying opportunities for R&D and software improvements. The project focused on integrating underground and overhead networks, including 1- and 3-phase lines, while addressing the challenge of multiple feeders on a single pole by automating segregation based on feeder ID, phase type, and pole-top transformer configurations.

Over a 24-month period, EnergyTron worked closely with ETAP power system and software engineers to validate field test results and implement enhancements. This collaboration led to the release of an upgraded ETAP version, improving its integration and performance for large electrical utility networks, and demonstrating EnergyTron’s ability to combine field expertise with software innovation.
